Review of Music Technology unit standards
Closed 16 Sep 2011
NZQA is seeking feedback on reviewed unit standards in domain: Music Technology
NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has completed a review of unit standards in the above domain. This review was initiated at the request of the sector with a view to include merit and excellence grades in the unit standards.
As a result of the review, the existing level 2 and 3 unit standards that assess the knowledge and use of digital sequencing and music notation equipment and techniques have been reviewed and a new unit standard at level 1 developed. A further new standard has been developed at Level 2 that can be used to assess knowledge of the development of music technology equipment and techniques.
Assessment support material has been developed to support these standards and will be published alongside them when they are registered.
Important note: These standards are draft for consultation purposes only. No assessment can occur against these standards until registered versions are published.
