A new look for our website
26 Jun 2010
The new-look site design reflects new thinking and best practice navigation and page design.
The NZQA website is now more than six years old, and a lot has happened in the online world in that time. The new-look site design reflects new thinking and best practice navigation and page design. In addition, the design reflects the evolution of NZQA into an organisation focussed on delivering exemplary client service and excellence in its own practice.
We have used a user-driven design process, so much of the navigation, page features, and tools, reflect information you, our clients, have provided during this process.
Much of the content has also been re-written, specifically for the web, in plain English.
We’ve worked hard to structure the content to better reflect what you need from us.
How do you find what you want?
You will have noticed that the content has been significantly re-organised. The key information changes to the site include:
Search
You said Search was very important so you have it on nearly every page
Multiple entry points that all connect up
You said our old website was not intuitive and was difficult to navigate so the navigation has been simplified.
There are now multiple ways of getting to the information you want, designed to suit your style of browsing, whether that is by searching, navigation or scrolling. There are, for instance, at least four ways of getting to information about NCEA from the Homepage.
There are three things you can do to find content you’re looking for
Different searches
The searches available on the old website are still there, you can find them all in one place.
