Helpful tips for students

10 Oct 2011

NZQA has published a page of tips, links and answers to important questions for students.

As in previous years, the Students page at www.nzqa.govt.nz/students has been updated for the secondary school examination period.

It contains lists of links to key information important to students, and their parents, in the lead-up to and during the examination period.  It also has links to the answers to questions like "What do I do if I'm sick during the exams?" or "What do I do if I haven't yet paid my NCEA fees?"

There are shortcuts to pages from which students can find past exam papers to practise on, as well as past student work they can study to see what makes an 'excellence' script as opposed to an 'achieved' one.

It also contains a 'counter' which tells them how many days (and hours and minutes!) until the first major exam.
