Information for students of Linguis International Institute

16 May 2017

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has cancelled the registration of Linguis International Institute (Linguis) as a PTE. The NZQA quality assurance process identified serious concerns in relation to educational performance and compliance with NZQA rules.

NZQA’s priority is ensuring students are supported during this time and that there is as little as possible disruption to studies.

What does this mean for students of Linguis International Institute?

Students studying at Linguis will be supported by NZQA to continue with their studies. We appreciate this may be an uncertain time for students and we will be making every effort to keep students fully informed.

NZQA is working to transfer students to high quality tertiary education organisations who will provide a full package of learning and support. We have contacted students with information about what has happened and how they can continue their studies.

Where can I find more information and updates?

NZQA has already been in contact with many students by email and at two student meetings this week. Any current students who have not yet heard from NZQA should send an email to so that the appropriate information and support can be provided.

As soon as we have any significant updates we will communicate these to students via email. If you would like to contact NZQA in writing you can do so:
