NCEA results available

16 Jan 2018

Almost 168,000 NCEA students can now view their results for 2017 on the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) website.

Students will receive their marked examination papers from late January. Those who sat digital examinations as part of NZQA’s Digital Trials and Pilots Programme will be able to log on to the online examination platform and view their marked digital examination from 23 January.

After receiving their marked NCEA papers, students have until 16 February to apply for a review or reconsideration of their examination papers.

A review is when all sections of a booklet or portfolio are checked to make sure they have been marked and results correctly recorded and transferred. A review does not involve re-marking. A reconsideration involves reassessing all answers in the answer booklet using the original assessment schedule, in other words, re-marking it. It also involves checking mechanical processes, like transferring grades.

Students who sat New Zealand Scholarship examinations will be able to view their results online from 13 February, and apply for a review or reconsideration until 2 March.

Final national achievement statistics will be made available on the NZQA website in early April.

As it does each year, NZQA has extended its call centre operations until 8pm tonight. Extra staff are on hand to answer any specific queries students may have about their results.

The call centre can be contacted on 0800 697 296 or helpdesk@nzqa.govt.nz.
