@NCEAexams is posting important updates on Twitter
27 Sep 2011
The Twitter page which has been set up for the annual exams will be sending out important messages before, during and after the 2011 cycle.
The @NCEAexams page was created in 2009 to help inform students, teachers and guardians about useful information and advice for exams. NZQA’s Deputy Chief Executive, Bali Haque, says the Twitter page is up and running again for 2011 and encourages people to follow it.
“During the course of the exam period, we will be tweeting important messages as well as giving updates about emergencies affecting exams, such as weather, traffic congestion and natural disasters. We want to remind people about the Twitter page as it will be the fastest and easiest way to receive these key messages.
“At NZQA we do our best to ensure the exam process is as smooth as possible for all involved, and having this Twitter page is another way we can notify people.”
Latest messages that have been tweeted have been about the exam timetable along with a reminder about an “Understanding NCEA” video. The Twitter page is open to the public and is free to use, email and cell-phone notifications are also available. For more information please view our page - http://twitter.com/#!/nceaexams
