Six days until NCEA exams
04 Nov 2011
Candidates have only six days until the NCEA and NZ Scholarship examinations begin. More than 143,000 candidates are preparing for their examinations starting on Thursday, November 10.
More than 1.5 examination booklets have been produced for the 2011 NCEA examinations.
This includes some Braille papers produced by The Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind. Examination papers are also produced for visually impaired candidates, which includes enlarging exam papers to A3.
Candidates will be able to view their results online mid January and should be aware that printed Result Notices will not be posted out automatically. Candidates wanting to obtain a printed Result Notice in early January will need to request one via the NZQA website.
Additionally, students will need to order NCEA or other school-based certificates, School Results Summaries and Records of Achievements via the learner log-in area of the NZQA website. This service is free.
“NZQA is moving towards a paperless system and going fully online. So we’re reminding all students who want to receive a paper copy of their results to request this via the NZQA website,” said Deputy Chief Executive Qualifications Bali Haque.
Students can access information and resources including admission slips, past examination papers, examination rules and study tips on the NZQA website - www.nzqa.govt.nz
“Students should be preparing for their exams and should take full advantage of past exam papers and other resources available on the NZQA website.”
