Tens of thousands access NCEA results online

14 Jan 2016

NCEA results were released yesterday and almost 170,000 students have been able to view their NCEA results online.

Deputy Chief Executive, Assessment Kristine Kilkelly says the release of results has been successful with no issues reported.

“Wednesday was a busy day for us with thousands of students eagerly checking their results – just over 40,000 had logged in by 9.30am and by midnight that was up to 90,000.”

“During the first half of the day there were between 20,000 and 30,000 logins each hour as students re-checked their results and shared their news with family and friends.”

“We carefully manage the day and plan well to ensure students can readily access their NCEA results. We’re pleased with the performance of our website, which like last year, performed consistently well throughout the day providing students with immediate access to their records.”

“We’ve also extended the opening hours of our call centre and have extra staff on hand to answer specific enquiries students, and their families, have about their results.”

Students with questions about their results or logging in should contact the NZQA Call Centre on 0800 697 296.
