Thousands go online to access NCEA results
16 Jan 2018
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) released NCEA results for almost 168,000 students earlier today, with almost 28,000 of these logging in to check their results within the first hour (7–8am).
More than 60,000 students had logged in by 11.30am today – that’s around 220 students logging in each minute.
Deputy Chief Executive Kristine Kilkelly says the release of NCEA results is going well, with no reported issues to date.
“NZQA manages results release carefully and we plan well to ensure students are able to get immediate access to their results through our website.
“As we expected, many students used mobile devices to log in and check their results, with around 55 per cent of students logging in through a mobile device so far.”
The opening hours of NZQA’s call centre have been extended until 8pm, with extra staff on hand to answer specific queries students and their families may have about NCEA results.
The NZQA call centre can be contacted on 0800 697 296 or by email to helpdesk@nzqa.govt.nz.
