Digital Technologies External Assessment Workshops

The Ministry of Education and The New Zealand Qualifications Authority are jointly providing workshops for teachers of Digital Technologies who are preparing candidates for external assessment against achievement standard 91070.

These workshops will examine the implications of the authenticity section of the NCEA Level 1 Assessment Specifications for courses of teaching and learning, by exploring the assessment of 91070. The workshop will be immediately useful for teachers preparing candidates for assessment for 91070. Resources used in the workshop will exemplify a successful approach to assessment through 91070. Time will be provided as part of the workshop for teachers to review and revise their own programme of teaching and learning.

Four workshops will be provided in the Auckland region on 7, 8, 9, and 10 May 2013.

Further workshops will be provided in Wellington on 16 May and Christchurch on 20 May 2013.

Places are limited. Further specific details will be provided at a later date.

The Ministry of Education will provide Teacher Release Days for teachers selected to attend.
