Draft Assessment Guides for Technology

Draft Common Assessment Guides for Technology Achievement standards 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.10, 1.40 and 1.44 have been published on the Technology subject page for teacher comment and to assist planning for 2011.

The draft Common Assessment Guides are not to be used for assessment in 2010.

Feedback invited

Teachers are invited to comment on the Common Assessment Guides by email to: examinations@nzqa.govt.nz, with the subject line Technology Common Assessment Guide.

Also published on the Technology subject page, to provide teachers with an opportunity for comment, are draft assessment specifications for the above standards. The draft specifications will be available for comment until Tuesday, 26 October 2010.

Teacher comments will be considered in producing the final draft of the guides.

Publication dates

• Exemplars related to the common assessment guides will be published before December 2010.
• Draft schedules will be published before December 2010.
• Common Assessment Guides for use in 2011 will be published by 15 November 2010 after the 2010 submission is complete.
• Final specifications will be published as usual in December.
