The mode of assessment for all external NCEA and Scholarship Graphics standards is a submitted portfolio. The assessment specifications define a portfolio.
It is expected that Graphics teachers are familiar with the information, including the Assessment Specifications, on the Graphics subject page.
Information for the preparation and submission of Graphics portfolios is available on the Graphics subject page, including the Graphics Authenticity form that must be submitted with each portfolio.
The submission date for Graphics portfolios is Wednesday, 3 November 2010. Candidate submissions must be ready for collection by 10am on this day.
Scholarship Entries
Candidates who have entered the level 3 external achievement standards and Scholarship Graphics should submit one portfolio only, for both assessments. This portfolio should contain evidence for the level 3 external achievement standards and evidence for the Scholarship standard.
A candidate who has entered Scholarship only, should submit their portfolio with appropriate evidence as set out in the Assessment Specifications. The material will be assessed against the Scholarship standard only.
Return of Portfolios and Assessment Schedules
All portfolios and assessment schedules will be sent back to the school at the beginning of February 2011.
