New Zealand Scholarship Subject List from 2011

As a result of the recent review of the Scholarship subjects list, Dance and the Samoan Language will be examined in New Zealand Scholarship (Scholarship) from 2011.

During the review, all proposed subjects were assessed against the Criteria for a subject to be included in New Zealand Scholarship.

• Dance and the Samoan Language were strongly supported by all submissions received and met all criteria for inclusion.
• Health is not yet included, based on the review of the submissions received.
• Home and Life Sciences and Earth and Space Science received limited support for inclusion at this time. 

The Ministry of Education will publish the Performance Standards for Scholarship Dance and the Samoan Language in December 2010. NZQA will publish sample examination papers in Term 1 of 2011.
