Update on Assessment Specifications for Scholarship for 2010

Assessment specifications for Scholarship have been published on the NZQA website.

Updated assessment specifications 

As a result of the review of external assessment last year, the 2009 external assessment specifications in some subject areas have been updated and changed to provide further clarification and interpretation. Teachers should not need to alter their programmes as a result of this update.

The affected subjects are:

• Agriculture/Horticulture
• Chemistry
• Economics
• English
• Geography
• Music
• Technology

Assessment specifications explain the assessment parameters for each performance standard. They include information such as the format of the paper, the equipment students can bring and use, and the context for questions where appropriate. They should be read alongside the applicable standards.
