Literacy and Numeracy Requirements for NCEA Level 1

This circular defines the requirements for NCEA Level 1 from 2012 and transitional arrangements for 2011.

Teachers are advised to familiarise themselves with the new requirements and schools should take the necessary steps to ensure candidate assessment programmes will provide access to literacy and numeracy standards.
