Overseas Results Notice for foreign fee-paying students
S2010/025 - 21 Sep 2010

Principal's Nominee
International Student Coordinator/Dean

NZQA has developed a new results notice for foreign-fee paying students to use when seeking qualification equivalence to their home country’s domestic school qualifications.  The results notice, known as the Overseas Results Notice, lists any qualifications achieved and a credit summary showing how many credits a student has gained, categorised by school subject.

The Overseas Results Notice will be available from mid-January each year.

The Overseas Results Notice has been developed particularly to be used by students from Thailand. The Bureau of Educational Testing (BET) informed NZQA that previous methods of providing students’ results were not meeting their needs.

The Overseas Results Notice will be available to foreign fee-paying students only, to download from their learner login.  Students will need to register online and use their NSN and password. Further instructions (PDF, 389KB) on how students can access their Overseas Results Notice are available.

Students must download a copy of their Overseas Results Notice and include it as part of their application for provisional Matthayom 6 equivalence. This replaces the letter from the school and the annual Result Notice.  Official Matthayom 6 equivalence will be issued when students present their Record of Achievement to BET.

Schools should ensure that foreign fee-paying students, Thai students in particular, are aware of this change and ensure they know how to obtain their Overseas Results Notice.
