Suggested Times for 2011 Examination Papers

All National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) and NZ Scholarship examination sessions are three hours long. 

The suggested times students should allocate for the Level 2 and Level 3 externally assessed standards in 2011 are available on the NZQA website. 

The suggested time for all externally assessed Level 1 standards is 60 minutes. There will be no more than three standards assessed in a session.

Schools are requested to give this information to appropriate Heads of Department/Faculty or subject teachers to pass on to their candidates prior to the examinations.

For further information, teachers should refer to the Assessment Specifications for each externally assessed standard.
