University Entrance numeracy and literacy requirements
The following amendments have been made to the current University Entrance requirements for numeracy in 2011 and literacy in 2012.
University Entrance Numeracy in 2011
The three Work and Study Skills domain unit standards (26623, 26626 and 26627) that can contribute to numeracy for NCEA level 1 have been added to the standards that fulfil the numeracy requirements for University Entrance.
Numeracy requirements - 14 credits in Numeracy at Level 1 or higher, made up of:

credits in Mathematics or Statistics and Probability or Pangarau or unit standards 26623, 26626, 26627.
University Entrance Literacy in 2012
The current requirements for University Entrance literacy include specific standards in English or Te Reo Māori/Rangatira at level 2. The following draft level 2 achievement standards will be added to the University Entrance literacy list for 2012.
