Applications from recruitment agencies

Generally, NZQA is happy to receive applicants via recruitment agencies, subject to the following conditions:

  • The CV submitted is the candidate's own. It must not be reformatted.
  • A completed application form is submitted with the candidate's CV.
  • Any other supporting documentation, such as visas, are provided at the time of application.
  • Full details of the agency's terms and conditions of business are provided at the time of application.
  • NZQA may, if the manager wishes, conduct its own reference checks.

Agency candidates will not receive any preferential treatment – candidates will be shortlisted alongside all other applicants after the closing date. Managers may decide not to accept applications from agencies for some vacancies. Please establish this with the contact person for each vacancy, before submitting applications.

Agencies are not permitted to place advertisements for NZQA roles without permission. Should an agency wish to place an advertisement, at their own cost, for an NZQA role, the wording must be approved by the People & Capability team before placements are made.
