  • sufficient - the evidence will establish with confidence that all criteria

examination centre a site where external examinations take place. Providers that confirm sufficient numbers of candidate entries in a written external examination will be designated as examination centres. examiner recognised subject experts, usually current teachers or university lecturers. A Chief Examiner in each subject, sometimes assisted by an Assistant Chief Examiner, writes each examination paper. external moderation an external process confirming an organisation's assessment activities are fair, valid and consistent. Involves the submission of samples of student work for a pre selected standard being verified by an independent external moderator.
