Material Critiquers
Materials Critiquers will work in their own time to critique material for NCEA Examinations for 2010.
Working relationships
The Materials Critiquer will maintain the highest levels of security and confidentiality when
- Liaising with allocated Assessment Team members
- Working with the Examiner
Professional and personal qualities
Material Critiquers will demonstrate
- an understanding of the principles of standards based assessment
- experience in developing high quality assessment material for a standards based environment
- experience in moderating and critiquing assessment material in a standards based environment
- knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of the partners of the Treaty of Waitangi in an educational assessment setting, skills and knowledge in Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori are desirable
- the ability to establish constructive working relationships with other professionals
- clear and effective communication
- the ability to work to stringent deadlines
- the ability to implement and maintain appropriate administrative and communication systems
The appointees will be contacted by NZQA, and trained in Wellington prior to being contracted. The date of this training is Thursday 22 October 2009.
