Major change to Ao Kawe Kupe

Keep your eyes open or you’ll miss it! The Māori qualifications magazine Ao Kawe Kupu is about to go through some changes which include a name change from Ao Kawe Kupu to Te Ao Tohu - the world of qualifications. It will still have the same awesome information but it will be a re-energized version. Watch out for it because it’s happening soon. Mā te rerekē o ngā ahuatanga ka kitea ngā hua.

Field Māori projects update

Māori Geography

These unit standards have been reclassified and moved from the field of Social Sciences to field Māori.

Māori Performing Arts

Unit standard 19909 - Research and compile resource material for the teaching of Māori Performing Arts (25 credits) was registered on the National Qualifications Framework in December 2003. The National Diploma (Level 6) is registered and available on the NQF.

Reo Māori Media

In November 2003, the Reo Māori Media Advisory Group met to finalise eight new unit standards and the National Diploma.
