Ao Kawe Kupu - The world of Qualifications

The New Zealand Qualifications Māori magazine Ao Kawe Kupu has had an extreme makeover. It has a fresh, new, exciting look and is expected to draw attention from all ages and working groups. Field Māori projects update

Marae Catering

A National Certificate in Marae Catering (Level 2) is now available. If you would like to extend your accreditation to include Marae Catering contact the Approvals, Accreditation and Audit team for more information.

Reo Māori Media

New developments in this area include eight unit standards and a National Diploma in Reo Māori Media, both at level 5. If you would like to extend your accreditation to include this qualification, contact the Approvals, Accreditation and Audit team for more information.

Waahi Tapu

Six unit standards, written in both te reo Māori and English are being developed. These unit standards are currently going through the quality assurance process.

Indigenous Studies

Eight unit standards and one qualification are currently being considered.

Mau Rākau - Tane

Assessment Resources are being developed in Mau Rākau. They should be completed and accessible on the NZQA website by October.For more information on these resources, contact Māori Qualifications Services.

Pūtaiao

25 Pūtaiao unit standards at levels 1-2 are being reviewed. For more information contact Māori Qualifications Services.

There are three new qualifications that have been registered in this area. You can read more about these exciting new qualifications.

Governance - Trusteeship

Nine unit standards have recently been registered in the governance field. However, the Governance qualification is going through the quality assurance process.
