The Māori Qualifications Service (MQS) team develops, reviews and promotes the uptake of Māori qualifications. To find out who you should get in contact with for a query on a specific project you can have a look at the current projects below.
The Māori Qualifications are going through some changes at the moment with two staff leaving there are some projects that are not assigned to QDF's for more information on these you can contact Tania Saggers, Manager below.

A long way from the East Coast, my work involves the recognition of Māori skills, knowledge and pedagogy. I have spent 13 years in the tertiary education sector.
Current projects: Tourism Māori, Governance & Trusteeship, ITO qualification.

| "I have been with NZQA for five years and was first employed by the Tertiary Records unit as a data entry operator. My position then grew to include operations. I joined the Māori Qualifications Services late 2004 on secondment and was made permanent in November 2005."

"I have 10 years experience in Te Kohanga Reo, and am a Primary Trained Teacher graduating from Dunedin College of Education and Otago University with a Bachelor of Education. As an HOD Māori of a Year 7 to Year 13 school till my arrival with NZQA , my goal has been to motivate successful education outcomes for Māori. This I hope to also achieve in my journey with MQS. Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini ke."
