STEP Contact your case manager
Kai Tech Ltd Directors informed their Māori Case Manager at NZQA of their intention to apply for an extension to accreditation. Case managers are your primary contact for accreditation matters, they will decide whether or not your application is accepted.
Kai Tech also made use of NZQA's Māori Provider Development and Support (MPDS) team. Kai Tech director, Michelle Trow says their local Regional Facilitator Leigh Milmine played a key role in making the application process easy.
'It was great to be able to work 'one-on-one' with Leigh. We're a very long way from Wellington and we have little contact with other Māori providers. She's got her fingers on the pulse. She talked us through the steps and made the whole process less daunting.'
All providers that identify themselves as Māori and are registered with NZQA are entitled to face-to-face support from Māori Regional Facilitators. If you want to find out more about the MPDS team and how to contact your local facilitator go to Māori Provider Development and Support Service
