STEP Cross reference your QMS against the AMAPs
For Kai Tech having an updated and comprehensive quality management system (QMS) document made the process of extending their accreditation a lot faster.
Kai Tech Director Michelle Trow says "I just looked at the requirements of the AMAP for both Core Generics and Reo Māori. I knew straight away what relevant documentation we already had and what we'd need to develop."
Kai Tech's QMS document is well organised and divided in to subsections to make referencing easy. It was also up to date at the time of their application. "It's important to revise your QMS constantly, says Michelle. "Every time your operation changes you need to ensure the paper work reflects your processes and the people who are part of the organisation."
Kai Tech submitted a full copy of their QMS document with their application to extend their accreditation.
