Quality Assurance Framework

Quality assurance for literacy and numeracy

Introduction

NZQA has revoked the Foundation Learning Quality Assurance (FLQA) requirements. FLQA is replaced by new information on literacy and numeracy to be included in the tertiary evaluation indicators.

The decision follows consultation with tertiary education organisations in July-August 2009.

The tertiary evaluation indicators are used in self-assessment and external evaluation and review of private training establishments, wānanga, government training establishments and institutes of technology and polytechnics.
