Quality assurance and registration of AMAPs
The information in this section is designed to assist standard setting bodies (SSBs) with the Framework Registration quality assurance process for Accreditation and Moderation Action Plans (AMAPs).
Framework Registration coordinates the AMAP Panel, whose members consider and provide feedback on new and reviewed or revised AMAPs, and quality assures and approves the registration of new and reviewed or revised AMAPs developed by SSBs.

Where an SSB's registered AMAP does not meet the criteria, the SSB should review the AMAP in the near future.
Documentation requirements
NZQA has in place an application process for submissions of AMAPs for registration and publication on the NQF similar to those used for qualifications and standards. An application may be for a new, reviewed, and/or revised AMAP(s) and may involve replacement relationships.
Applications for registration must be accompanied by the documents set out below. The documentation requirements depend on whether the AMAP is new, has been reviewed, or has been revised. Where an AMAP has been reviewed or revised, a review or revision report outlining the changes and the timeframe(s) for accredited organisation compliance will need to be submitted for publication with the new version of the AMAP.
Review of an AMAP will involve full stakeholder consultation and an undertaking by the SSB that the AMAP meets the needs of the relevant industry or sector and is fit for purpose. Revision of an AMAP may be to correct an error, to clarify a requirement, or to make a change that cannot wait until review. It may require some degree of stakeholder consultation depending on the nature of the revision.
