Implementation

NZQA plans to be ready to receive enquiries and applications for qualifications, programmes and organisational performance reviews under MM EQA by April 2012. 

Initial implementation will commence with a “managed introduction” of MM EQA (Qualifications listing) and MM EQA (Programme approval and accreditation) in November this year. Applications for this process will be limited to nominations from the Mātauranga Māori Working Group and NZQA’s Māori Qualifications Services team.

  • Draft MM EQA qualifications listing, programme approval and accreditation tools and processes for Managed introduction

  • Training for analysts - MM EQA qualifications listing
  • Managed introduction of MM EQA qualifications listing - selected apilications
  • Case Study – early implementation commences
  • Finalise criteria for awarding of MM QA mark

December

  • Finalise MM EQA tools and processes - qualifications listing programme approval and accreditation, performance evaluation
  • Complete MM EQA Capability Strategy

January 2012

  • Commence MM EQA IS systems development
  • NZQA Board Approval - MM EQA tools and processes - qualifications listing, programme approval and accreditation performance evaluation
  • Complete MM EQA guidelines for publication

February

  • Establish MM EQA Business Processes
  • Develop templates, forms, checklists

March

  • Training for evaluators, engagement liaison MM EQA performance evaluation
  • MM EQA Guidelines and supporting documentation published

April
