What issues could be raised in an External Moderation Summary?
Summary information will be presented under three main headings:
Areas where moderation reports may indicate concerns:
For example:
- material and/or judgements not at the national standard
- no material submitted for moderation
- no student work submitted for moderation
- standards replaced by another for which no student work was available.
Areas where the moderation history may be of concern to schools' senior management.
Areas in which the moderation history is of concern to NZQA.
Follow-up action taken by a school to address any concerns relating to external moderation is part of the normal quality assurance process for managing national assessment. Where appropriate, the School Relationship Manager will work in partnership with the school to facilitate this process.
