Responsibility for the unit standard listed above has been transferred from the Horticulture Industry Training Organisation (Horticulture ITO) to the Electricity Supply Industry Training Organisation (ESITO), which has completed the review of the unit standard.

Summary

 

The standard setting body for this unit standard has been the Horticulture ITO, but the content of the standard deals with working around electricity supply lines, which is the responsibility of ESITO.

 

An agreement has, therefore, been reached between the two industry training organisations whereby the standard setting responsibility for this standard will be transferred from the Horticulture ITO to ESITO.

 

Unit standard 17152 was reviewed and updated following extensive consultation with personnel working within the vegetation control sector of the industry.  The review also identified the need for a separate standard for people undertaking tree work inside the insulated tool zone near electricity supply lines.

 

Main changes

 

·      Standard setting responsibility for standard 17152 was transferred from the Horticulture ITO to ESITO and the standard was reclassified.

·      Amendments were made to level, evidence requirements, and range statements of standard 17152.
