The Electricity Supply Industry Training Organisation (ESITO) has completed the review and reinstatement of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
ESITO originally designated these unit standards as expiring because of very low usage. However, ESITO was advised that these standards now comprise a competency requirement for one of its member companies who requested that the standards be reinstated. As the standards had not been used by industry it was not appropriate to enter into consultation with anyone other than the member company requesting reinstatement. However, industry was invited to comment via the ESITO website. ESITO anticipate reasonable usage of these standards by the company requesting reinstatement because the standards comprise a competency requirement.
Main changes
· Unit standards 14269, 14270, 14283, 14290, and 18278 were reinstated.
· Titles of unit standards 14290 and 18278 were amended to better reflect their outcomes.
· Evidence requirements and range statements were amended to clarify requirements and improve consistency with outcomes.
