Summary
The Fellmongery and Leather Processing standards have been reviewed as a result of the mandatory review of Food Processing qualifications, which is part of the Targeted Review of Qualifications (TROQ).
The review process has identified seventeen standards that needed amending to reflect the development of training programmes and one new standard that needed to be developed.
The meat processing sector has also developed six new standards at Level 2 to meet the needs of people requiring pre-entry training before beginning work in the industry.
The changes were endorsed by the sector in June 2014.
Main changes
· Standards 8017, 8386, 16487, 16490, 16491, 21830, 27889, and 27909 have had their credits amended.
· Standards 8017, 8383-8386, 16487, 16491, 18568-18571, 21830, 27909, and 28574 have had their levels amended.
· Standards 8017, 16491, 18569, 18590, and 27904 have had their titles amended.
· Seven new standards have been developed.
