Summary
This revision was carried out after feedback from industry stakeholders indicated the unit standard content did not align with the international competencies required for learners at this level. Consultation as part of this revision has correctly realigned the unit standard with international certification requirements which better reflect the credit value.

· The requirement to complete STCW A-VI/6-2 has been removed.
· The requirement to complete STCW A-VI/4-2 has been removed.
