Careerforce (Community Support Services ITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published June 2016
Planned review date December 2021
Summary
The review of the unit standards above was prompted by the outcomes of the mandatory reviews of qualifications.
The unit standards were reviewed to ensure that they were fit for purpose and relevant and to consider their alignment with outcomes listed in the new qualifications.
A number of unit standards were identified as having a broader application across the health and wellbeing sectors and were updated to ensure they were achievable in a range of settings.
Where gaps were identified new standards were created to develop a pathway towards the new qualifications.
Main changes
· 4 unit standards were updated to ensure they could be achieved in a wider range of relevant contexts and one standard, 28537, was reclassified to the Whānau Ora and Community Support domain.
· 8 new unit standards were developed to meet new requirements identified by the mandatory review.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is 31 December 2017.
