Extension of expiry date of Tikanga Concepts unit standards

NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the extension of expiry dates of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

In 2015, MQS received a request that the last date for assessment against these unit standards be extended to enable completion of the National Certificate in Māori Management - Generic (Whakangahau ki Te Ao Māori – Workplace Practices) (Level 3) [Ref: 1432] past the end of 2015.  The expiry dates for these two standards were extended until 31 December 2018.

The mandatory review of the National Certificate in Māori Management - Generic (Whakangahau ki Te Ao Māori – Workplace Practices) (Level 3) [Ref: 1432] resulted in a new replacement qualification listed in September 2016.  The date set for discontinuation of the qualification was set for 31 December 2019, which did not align with the last date for assessment for these unit standards.  Therefore, the unit standards required a change in expiry date to maintain the achievability of the national certificate, until it is discontinued.

The expiry date of the standards was extended from 31 December 2018 to 31 December 2019.
