NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

Whakaruruhau have reviewed the Reo Māori Media unit standards, and three new unit standards were developed, to better reflect the requirements and the outcomes listed in newly developed New Zealand qualifications:

 

·         New Zealand Certificate in Communications Media (Level 4) [Ref: 3206]

·         New Zealand Diploma in Radio Broadcasting (Level 5) [Ref: 3210].

 

As a result of the Targeted Review of Qualifications process, the Reo Māori Media qualifications were expired.

 

Main changes

 

·                Unit standard 16036 was replaced.

·                Titles were changed for several standards to better reflect the outcomes.

·                Changes were made to guidance information, entry information, and performance criteria across the standards.

·                Credit values were increased for some standards to reflect the changes to the requirements to be awarded the standards.

·                Three new unit standards were developed.

 

The Category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2019

 

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2019
