Summary
The review was undertaken with two objectives: to review them before the scheduled planned review date (2017) and to make provision for on-line evidence gathering.
The review was conducted by two panels of expert stakeholders, one for Literacy and one for Numeracy, supported by an extensive e-mail network of providers and other stakeholders, and by national consultation through the NZQA website.
Main changes
· Standards 26623 and 26624 were amended to allow evidence gathering through the pilot on-line Literacy and Numeracy Digital Evidence Tool (LiNDET).
· The definition of Numeracy was amended in the Numeracy standards.
· Explanatory notes, outcomes, ranges, and evidence requirements were amended as required for clarification.
Impact on Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR)
The standards have been moved to CMR 0113, but the requirements have not altered.
