Summary
As a result of the Targeted Review of Qualifications process, it became necessary for MITO to review a number of unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in the new qualifications and to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose.
MITO has reviewed two unit standards in the Cargo Operations domain which has been supported by the industries’ working group. Representation in the working group included subject matter experts from several New Zealand ports, industry representatives and MITO representatives. The standards have also been circulated in the working group’s greater networks and all feedback was actioned where appropriate.
Main changes
· Guidance Information was updated.
· References to legislation and formal requirements were updated.
· Performance criteria and range statements were amended.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is 31 December 2018
