Summary

The Primary ITO revised the above unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the updated New Zealand Certificate in Dairy Processing (Level 3) with optional strands in Automated Cleaning and Heat Treatment [Ref: 2562-3], and New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Level 4) with strands in Arable Farming, Dairy Farming, Breeding Livestock Farming, and Non-Breeding Livestock Farming (Ref: 2212-3].  Unit standards 4826, 4835 and 28610 were reviewed in March 2021, however errors were noted on publication.  Further amendments suggested by industry were made to ensure the unit standards are fit for purpose.

Consultation was carried out in May 2021 where consent to assess holders and stakeholders had the opportunity to give comment on the email sent asking for feedback to amendments.  This feedback was addressed where appropriate.

Main changes

·                Titles were amended for unit standards 4835 and 32012 to better reflect changes made at earlier review.

·                Guidance information was amended for currency.

·                Outcomes, performance criteria and range statements were reviewed and amended where appropriate to ensure unit standards remained fit for purpose.
