NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
The standards were reviewed by Whakaruruhau held on the 8th and 9th of November 2021. All amendments to the standards were endorsed by Whakaruruhau.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of the reviewed standards is 31 December 2022. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of superseded versions of the standard.
Main changes
· Guidance information amended to better reflect the intentions of the standards and more guidance for the users of the standards.
· The performance criteria were reworded to meet the needs of the sector.
· Changes to titles, purpose statements, outcomes and performance criteria were made to better reflect the intention of various unit standards.
· Three new standards, 33005-33007, were developed at level 3.
· Levels and credits for some standards were lowered to meet the needs of the secondary sector.
· Unit standards 18597 and 29685 were replaced by unit standards 33114 and 33117.
· Eleven (11) unit standards were expired due to no usage.
Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2023.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2022.
