Te Pūkenga approached Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council and identified that the statement under General Conditions for Programmes that the New Zealand Certificate in Regulatory Practice (Operational Knowledge) (Level 4) [Ref: 2775] is a prerequisite for entry into programmes leading to the award of the New Zealand Certificate in Regulatory Practice (Operational Practice) (Level 4) qualification [Ref: 2776] was a barrier to learners who are in regulatory roles that enrol in programmes leading to both qualifications at the same time. The ability to enrol learners into both programmes, where [Ref: 2775] is completed before [Ref: 2776] fits a work-based learning setting. The wording was amended to avoid any misinterpretation that learners must achieve [Ref: 2775] before they could be enrolled into programmes that lead to the award of [Ref: 2776]. |

The prerequisite statement has been amended to “The New Zealand Certificate in Regulatory Practice (Operational Knowledge) (Level 4) [Ref: 2775]” is a prerequisite for the award of this qualification” under General Conditions for Programme. The link to the common terms used by the sector has also been amended under General Conditions for Programme to reflect changes of its location. The qualification will be republished with no version change and no change to next review date. The update will take effect immediately. |
