Summary
H-A-R reviewed the above unit standard above to ensure it continued to be fit-for-purpose for the motor industry.
H-A-R carried out the review between February and June 2023 to better align the unit standard to the graduate profile outcomes of a proposed new qualification at Level 5. Industry, providers, and subject matter experts provided feedback and input into the review and new development of these unit standards.
Main changes
· Guidance information updated to include note of industry bespoke vehicle structural repairer code of practice.
· Unit standard 31992 edited to include generating a repair plan for all damage not just structural damage, and also reflected in the updated title.
· New Level 5 unit standards 33288, 33289, 33290, 33291 were developed to reflect changes in the Collision Repair and Automotive Refinishing sector.
· Standard setting details were updated to reflect the change of standard setting body to Hanga-Aro-Rau Workforce Development Council from 4 October 2021.
