Summary

Waihanga Ara Rau and representatives from the forestry earthworks industry have developed seven unit standards to reflect the need expressed by industry for specific skills development.  These standards also provide flexibility for programme developers when future programmes are developed to cater for the training needs of the forestry earthworks industry.

Consultation with industry representatives occurred from November 2022 to July 2023.  Feedback was received and decisions on the content of the standards were made in consultation with a technical advisory group of representatives from the forestry earthworks industry.
