The Muka Tangata - People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council has completed the review and reinstatement of the standards listed above. The standards in italics have been reinstated.

Summary
The review and reinstatement of the above unit standards was carried out alongside the development of a micro-credential for Nutrient Application for Primary Industry. Meetings with industry and government representatives were held in July and August 2023. Relevant standards were reviewed for currency and accuracy; those that had been already expired were reviewed, determined to be fit for purpose, and reinstated.
Main changes
· The guidance information sections across all the reviewed and reinstated unit standards have been updated to meet current industry requirements.
· Terminology related to nutrient application has been updated across all unit standards, as per industry usage. Most notably, ‘Fertiliser(s)’ has been replaced with ‘nutrient(s)’, and ‘spreading’ (and its variants) with ‘application’ (and its variants).
· Outcomes, performance criteria and range statements have been updated where relevant to reflect current industry practices.
· The title of unit standard 19374 was changed to better reflect the unit standard’s content; this change also affected the wording of outcome 3.
· The titles of all unit standards have changed to better reflect current industry requirements.
· The standard setting details for all unit standards were updated to Muka Tangata, to reflect current coverage.
