Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Design learning using pedagogically and culturally appropriate practice to meet specified learning outcomes for Pacific learners. - Facilitate quality learner-centred teaching that respects the mana and diverse cultural backgrounds of Pacific learners, and the wider educational and societal context. - Use and evaluate teaching and learning strategies, including technology-enhanced teaching and learning, to meet the needs of Pacific learners. - Undertake kaitiakitanga and provide leadership and professional support to other practitioners working with Pacific learners. |

Education pathways |
This qualification may lead to other qualifications in adult and tertiary teaching at Level 6 and above such as the New Zealand Diploma in Adult and Tertiary Teaching [Ref: 2747], or the New Zealand Certificate in Learning Design [Ref: 2749], the New Zealand Certificate in Pasifika Teaching [Ref: 2750], or a Level 7 qualification in adult and tertiary teaching.

Entry Requirements |
It is highly recommended that people hold a relevant qualification in learning and teaching at Level 5 or above or have equivalent knowledge and skills prior to entering into this qualification.
