Assesssment Development Plans

The formatting used in the following assessment development plans is intended to make it easier to take a unit standard and write an appropriate assessment.

The assessor briefs have been designed so that, on the whole, they are not “clogged up” with unnecessary notations (for example evidence requirement numbers).  The focus is on the key and/or critical indicators distilled from all the evidence requirements of an outcome.

Explanatory notes and range statements therefore need to be well considered, and attention given first to how they drive the planning of assessment.

The assessment tools are intended to be flexible and adaptable for the assessor, depending on what physical evidence is required or might already exist in the educational setting or workplace.

Verified documentation and attestation can also be used to provide evidence, where applicable.
