National Certificate in Agriculture (Level 2)

The Agriculture Industry Training Organisation has revised the National Certificate in Agriculture (Level 2). The revised version, including new requirements, will be published in July 2006. The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2007.

Feedback from the Agriculture Teachers Association and other stakeholders indicated that this qualification would have greater relevance for high school students if agriculture-related achievement standards were included.

Main changes resulting from the revision

• Elective 2 has been expanded to include credit for agriculture related achievement standards from the Agricultural and Horticultural Science domain.
• Achievement standards 90154-90160, 90450-90455, and 90649-90653 have been added.
