Visual Arts verification and assessment in 2008 - NCEA levels 1, 2, 3 and Scholarship

Visual Arts Information Online

All information about Visual Arts external assessment can be found online.

This includes information about:

• Visual Arts assessment and verification (all levels) mail-out to schools
• preparation of submissions of portfolios (all levels)
• procedures for authentication, compassionate consideration, and reconsideration of candidate work (all levels)
• entering provisional results online for levels 1 and 2 verification. The User Guide can be found on your school 'high security' login page. See your Principal's Nominee for access to this.

Teachers should also refer to Assessment Matters Circular A2008/020 Fields for Scholarship Visual Arts (dated 6 June 2008) for information regarding the process for entering students in the appropriate fields for Scholarship.

Key Dates for Visual Arts

Mail-out of packaging materials

By mid-October 2008 s chools will receive the following materials:

For levels 1 and 2 verification:

• instructions for entering provisional grades online and printing submission schedules
• courier tickets and address labels.

For level 3 and Scholarship assessment:

• bar-coded address and serial code labels for each candidate
• policy and process for authenticating candidate work
• compassionate consideration portfolio labels for level 3 (coloured A4 sheets).
