Examination Paper Changes for 2009 for Classical Studies levels 2 and 3

Teachers and students of Classical Studies, levels 2 and 3, are advised that the 2009 assessment specifications signal changes to the format of the examination papers for the following standards:

Level 2: 90247 Examine a passage from a work of classical literature in translation

90248 Examine a work of classical art and/or architecture

Level 3: 90511 Explain a passage or passages from a work of classical literature in translation

90512 Explain a work or works of classical art

All questions will provide opportunity for candidates to produce evidence for Achievement, Achievement with Merit and Achievement with Excellence. Each question will require paragraph-style responses.
